As many residents of Newmachar will see on their travels into and around Aberdeen, work on the AWPR continues at pace. Many of you will be familiar with the view from the ground, but thanks to AWPR Transport Scotland we can share some aerial photos of the ongoing work around Parkhill and Goval, including the site of the new Don crossing. You can get more information about the AWPR on the Transport Scotland website. The B977 going towards Parkhill Garden Centre is in the bottom right, with Little Goval in the centre right. View of the AWPR beyond Parkhill Garden Centre - Lily Loch and Corby Loch are visible in the distance. AWPR crossing the River Don, existing road to Fintray at bottom. The end of the airport runway is visible in the top right. Current A947 River Don crossing can be seen in the top right, and part of the new AWPR/A947 interchange is in the bottom right.
